A Medieval Studies Forum Study Day including a visit to the new Mary Rose Museum, a "behind the scenes" talk and a guided walking tour of historic Portsmouth led by Alan King, the former head of Local History at Portsmouth City Library, who has a particular interest in Medieval Portsmouth
A chance to see the results of the sixth season of excavations on this medieval and Tudor site.
* Tours of the trenches where archaeologists will explain the discoveries. * Displays of artefacts from the site. * Archaeology and history stalls to browse.
Please note that the last tour of the trenches leaves at 4pm and the site will close at 5pm.
A team of volunteers has recently completed a research project on the history of the Guildford Union Workhouse Infirmary, which became St. Luke's Hospital. An exhibition has been created for display in the Education Room of the former hospital building. Once part of the complex, the Spike is available for tours.

The site of the medieval manor and Tudor Palace of Woking will be open for the first time this year on 11th & 12th May. Guided tours of the 8 acre moated site and its above ground remains will run throughout the day until 4pm.
Visits and walks are organised by non-Society groups and will take you to interesting places with good guides.otot
