Walk around Normandy/Flexford Area

In the light of our recent work at Flexford, David Calow is to conduct a walk on Saturday 18 August 2012. The purpose is to explore the landscape and tracks around the Flexford Roman settlement site, Flexford village and Wanborough Roman Temple.

All members are welcome.

Meet at 1pm at the far end of the car park at Normandy Village Hall, Glaziers Lane Normandy GU3 2DE

Distance – 5 miles, 2.5 hours, slight gradients, one stile, can be muddy in wet weather

AGM of Surrey Record Society at Surrey History Centre, Woking

The AGM of Surrey Record Society will take place on Wednesday 18th July at 7pm, at Surrey History Centre, Woking. Refreshments will be available from 6.30 and the AGM will be followed by a talk by Kirsty Pattrick about the Mass Observation Archive at the University of Sussex (which provided one of the three diaries to be featured in the Society's latest publication, Warriors at Home.

The coach leaves Leatherhead Leisure Centre at 0930 and will pick up in Guildford at 1000, opposite Sainsburys, Burpham.
