Village Study Group - Spring Meeting

The Village Study Group Spring Meeting will take place on 28th April 2012 10:00am - 4:00pm at Church Gate House Centre, Downside Bridge Road, Cobham, KT11 3EJ
(Opposite St. Andrew's Parish Church - free car parking adjoining).

The meeting will include John Pile on 'Reading the Village Map' and Brigid Fice on 'Buildings and the Landscape'.

There will be updates on work in progress on Esher, Ockham and Bookham from various groups and a short walk around the historic centre of Cobham led by David Taylor.

The next meeting of the Medieval Studies Forum will take place on Saturday 3rd December at the Surrey History Centre, Woking and will be a "Members Day" for presentations by members on current research and interests.
 
Richard Neville has agreed to speak on the Norfolk Churches Graffiti Project and how this might be extended to Surrey; Mary Alexander will speak about medieval Christmas festivities at the Royal Palace of Guildford. Rob Briggs. Brian Creese  and Peter Balmer will also be sharing some of their current research.
