The Conservation and Heritage teams at Southwark will be holding a Roman Day at the Heritage Centre, 147 Walworth Road, Southwark. The morning will consist of the opportunity for people to see some Roman material from the Southwark collection and material excavated by some of the archaeological companies who work regularly within the borough. In the afternoon there will be three talks about the roman archaeology of Southwark, roman roads, burial grounds and settlement, largely focused on Landmark Court.
The Annual Symposium of the Society will be held on Saturday 8th March 2025 in the East Horsley Village Hall. Online booking is now available and confirmation will be sent by email. No tickets are issued. It is also possible to pay on the day with cash only.

Surrey Historic Landscapes Project: field-walking on Bockett’s Farm and in Norbury Park, Fetcham and Mickleham led by the late Steve Dyer
The Annual General Meeting of Surrey Archaeological Society will be held via Zoom. It will be followed by a lecture by Professor Michael Parker Pearson and is free of charge. The Zoom link will be made available in due cours.
The library will be closed on Monday 12th August and Tuesday 13th August 2024
We will be open as normal on Monday 19th.
