The final in the series of lectures on "Royal Castles and Palaces in Surrey"

Richard Savage,Chairman of the Friends of Woking Palace and of the Society's Medieval Studies Forum, will talk about the history and archaeology of this eight acre moated site. The lecture will be held in the Abraham Dixon Hall at the Letherhead Institute and commences at 8pm. Tea and coffee will be available from 7.30pm when the doors open.

"Hampton Court: Henry VIII's Palace in Henry VIII's 500th anniversary year" a lecture by Lucy Worsley

The fourth in the series of lectures on "Royal Castles and Palaces in Surrey".

Lucy Worsley the Chief Curator of Historic Royal Palaces will talk on Hampton Court. The lecture will be held in the Abraham Dixon Hall at the Letherhead Institute and commences at 8pm. Tea and coffee will be available from 7.30pm when the doors open.

"Diana, Deer and Daffodils: The Royal Landscape of Nonsuch Park" a lecture by Jeremy Harte

The third in the series of lectures on  "Royal Castles and Palaces in Surrey" will be given by Jeremy Harte, Curator, Bourne Hall Museum, Ewell.

The lecture will be held in the Abraham Dixon Hall at The Letherhead Institute.

The lecture commences at 8pm with tea and coffee available from 7.30pm

AGM, SIHG Conservation Award 2009 & Talk: Restoration of Nr 6 Kempton Great Engine

The 27th SIHG Conservation Plaque will be awarded  to the Kempton Great Engines Trust for its work in restoring Nr 6 engine. This be the subject of the talk and guided tour which follow the group's AGM. See Kempton Steam and map for directions. The entrance is at TW13 7ND.
