Withdrawn Library Journals
The library has withdrawn more Journals, which are now available for free to members to collect.
The list covers major counties like Kent, Hamphire, Herfordshire and London plus several national journals.
Abinger Closure
The office and library at Abinger Hammer will be closed next week from June 12 until June 18 due to Hannah being on leave. The next day in the office/library will be Tuesday June 20th.
May e-newsletter now out!
Our May e-newsletter is now out and contains several updates and opportunities, which includes a short note on recent geophysics at West Horsley Place, a new project mapping WWII bomb incidents in Surrey and forthcoming test pitting at Albury Park. Dr Philip Smither, Finds Liaison Officer for Berkshire, has offered to talk to us on the subject of his PhD thesis at the University of Kent, the Roman site at Richborough. Hear about Philip's research - ‘Army Communities at Roman Richborough: An Analysis of the Roman Military Assemblage.' and how this has altered perception about this important Roman site.

Emma Corke, Site Director of Cocks Farm Abinger, will be updating us on findings from the 2023 season on the hill adjacent to the Cock Farm Roman villa. This is part of an ongoing series of excavations related to features identified in magnetometry surveys, done as part of a villa estate research project.
