SHERF 2021 - Archaeology of the Church: Perspectives from Recent Work in the South-East

This year's annual Surrey Historic Environment Research Framework will be held jointly with the Council for British Archaeology South-East annual conference and themed around the subject of church archaeology. The event will be a one-day virtual conference held online, via Zoom video conferencing.

Following the great success of the 2018 conference on the transition from Roman to Saxon in the South-East, the Roman Studies Group is arranging another such event, this time focusing on the end of the Iron Age and the start of Roman Britain in our area.

This event was originally due to be held in May 2020 but was cancelled due to the Corona virus pandemic.

Due to COVID-19, this year's SHERF conference, chaired by Historic England's Dan Miles and SyAS' Anne Sassin, will take place online via Zoom video conferencing.
