This volume is a Research Paper of the Surrey Archaeological Society (No.5) published in 1959 and now out of print. It is a discussion of the excavation of bomb-damaged sites in Southwark supported by the Surrey Archaeological Society. The excavation of these reported sites was largely the work of volunteers and this report is dedicated to them.
