An exciting day of talks exploring the significance of Magna Carta and the history of Surrey in the thirteenth century.

Speakers: Professor Nigel Saul, Rob Poulton, Dr David Stone, Dr Naomi Sykes and Professor David Carpenter.

Visit to MoLA, finds from excavations at Bloomberg/LondonWalbrook

This visit will complement and expand on Sadie Watson’s evening talk to RSG members on 3 February. There will be a talk from Sadie, followed by another from one of MOLA’s Roman Registered Finds Specialists with artefacts available to look at. We will also be taken around the processing area to see the washing and processing of finds from different sites. It is hoped that by March there will be human remains from the excavations at Liverpool Street.

University College, Dublin

University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland has launched a Distance Learning Programme in World Heritage Conservation, which may be of interest.

The postgraduate courses in World Heritage Conservation are part-time, online, distance learning courses designed to provide a professional understanding of the working of the World Heritage Convention and equip participants with current thinking on the conservation and sustainable development of natural and cultural heritage properties.
