Medieval Landscape workshop
As part of the Sustainable Impact project, the Medieval Studies Forum are organising a study day for Saturday 14 March at Surrey History Centre which will centre around the medieval landscape and some of the less obvious and more specialist forms of research, including the use of primary documentary sources, name studies and non-settlement based landscape archaeology.
The programme for the day will include a number of informative talks:

A Guide to the Saxon and Medieval Pottery Type Series of Surrey
The Guide to the Saxon and Medieval Pottery Type Series of Surrey is a quick guide based on Phil Jones’s Medieval pottery type series. He developed this type series over many years of studying Medieval pottery found in Surrey.
Egyptian Art
Two creative time sessions learning about the ancient art of the Egyptians and mummies.
£8 per child plus £1 sibling discount. Spaces are limited to 15 per session so booking early is essential.
