VISIT TO FISHBOURNE ROMAN PALACE ON 23 JULY
There have been a number of changes at Fishbourne since 2007, so if you haven’t visited recently it’s certainly worth going again. The day will begin at 10am and includes the following:
10.20am Introductory film about Fishbourne
10.45am 1 hour guided tour of the north wing of the Palace covering its archaeology and history, its more interesting mosaics and the changes made to the building during its occupation
12.00/12.15pm Lunch in restaurant (price excluded)
1.30pm “Behind the Scenes” tour guided by Fishbourne’s Curator, Dr Robert Symmons, about the site’s conservation and collection management
2.30pm An opportunity to look round the museum and garden yourself
(All times are approximate. Final arrangements for the day will be sent out about two weeks before the visit.)
Cost per person: £12.50 - £15.00 depending on numbers.
