Crofton Roman Villa, Crofton Rd, Orpington BR6 8AF
This site was fully excavated by the Kent Archaeological Rescue Unit. The Unit now manages the scheme in conjunction with the Council and will be providing a guide for the visit. The villa was inhabited between approximately 140 and 400 AD and was the centre of a farming estate of about 500 acres, with farm buildings nearby, surrounded by fields, meadows and woods.
Following the visit to the villa there is the option to stay for a pub lunch.
Entrance fee: £2.00 (seniors £1.00)

Currently the plan is to meet at the villa at 10.30an but this is subject to confirmation.
