SIHG: Visit the Heath Robinson Museum, Pinner

Date:
Thursday, 26 June, 2025 - 14:00 to 16:00

Following SIHG’s very popular Zoom on Heath Robinson’s World Word One “inventions”, I’ve decided to organise a museum visit. I was going to schedule this in the autumn, but as they have a special exhibition that ends in July, I’ve decided to schedule it earlier.

Details at of the museum are at:
https://www.heathrobinsonmuseum.org

Entry includes a special exhibition:
https://www.heathrobinsonmuseum.org/whats-on/ways-of-seeing-narrative-humour-nostalgia/

£8 entry, £4 for students.

I’ll probably go the on-site café beforehand, see https://daisysinthepark.co.uk/pinner/ - let me know if you want to meet me there, otherwise meet in reception by 2PM.

Getting there: the Museum is less than 10 minutes’ walk from Pinner station, Metropolitan line (direct tube form Farringdon). Four buses stop even closer, on Bridge St: H11, H12, H13 and 183.
By car, the postcode is HA5 1AE. There is a small car park at the museum with Blue Badge dedicated space. The main car park is at the bottom of the park (right out of the museum car park, right at the mini roundabout into Chapel Lane and right just before the railway bridge). From there, it’s just five minutes’ walk up through the park to the museum. Follow the direction of the sculpture!
