Vist organised by Gareth Hayton.
It could be "now or never" to visit the derelict Ewhurst (Old) Brickwork site as a planning application for redevelopment is currently under consideration. The machinery and all the recoverable scrap metal have gone, and the clay pit itself is now a lake, but the kilns and chimney remain. The visit is free. Meeting place TBC - watch this space.
After the visit, we could go to the local pub but if attendees prefer a tea room, we could go to The Milk Churn at Rudgwick, about 10 minutes away and coincidentally also on the site of a former brickworks, see:

We already have 19 takers for this. If you would like to join us, please email meetings@sihg.org.uk
