As part of the spring/summer 2014 programme of talks organised by the Friend of Woking Palace for their HLF funded project "Woking Palace and its Park" Rob Poulton, the director of the excavations, will be giving a talk about excavating the moated site at Woking. The 51st Annual Conference of London Archaeologists organised by the London and Middlesex Archaeological Society will take place in the Weston Theatre Museum of London.

The morning will be a round up of Recent Work in London and Middlesex, followed by an affternoon themed on 'Arenas of Entertainment in Tudor and Jacobean London'.

Chris Hutchinson is an amateur photographer and member of Yately Photographic Club. Around ten years ago he started to experiment with photographing the human face and form in new ways, including underwater. The exhibition displays some of his remarkable photographs using this technique.

This exhibition wiil be on show until March 1st.

Volunteers are being sought for the third season of Excavation in Church Meadow, Ewell. This independent project is financially supported by Surrey Archaeological Society, Epsom and Ewell History and Archaeology Society, the Council for Brtish Archaeology and the local Committee of Surrey County Council.

The excavations will take place between 2nd - 20th July, Wednesdays to Sundays 9.30am to 4.30pm.
