All organisers of Society events should contact the Hon Secretary in advance of the start date to arrange insurance cover using one of the attached forms. The version in Word format may be completed and submitted electronically as an email attachment (firstname.lastname@example.org). The pdf version can be printed out and sent by post to: The Hon Secretary, Surrey Archaeological Society, Castle Arch, Guildford GU1 3SX.
The Society has £5m Public Liability insurance. The first £250 of any claim is not paid. Society members are insured for their legal liability to other members and third parties up to £5m but not for personal injury to themselves or loss or damage of their own property. Participants who are not personally members of Surrey Archaeological Society are not covered unless directly supervised by a member of the Society. If there is a serious problem contact the event manager immediately and the Hon Secretary or President.
