Horrible Halloween

Ewell Walk On the Dark Side

Thursday 27 October 2pm to 3.30pm

Monday 31 October 7.30pm - 9pm

Tuesday 1 November 7.30pm - 9pm

Discover Ewell’s dark past and remember the tales that some would rather forget.  Learn about the terrible exploding gunpowder mills and visit the graveyard of St Mary’s where the victims rest in peace.

As you walk around the village discover the folk who lived locally and just won’t stay dead!  Hear tales of witches and horrible murder, funerals without a body, tragic coach crashes and ghosts!

Gather your courage and tread in the footsteps of the 19th-century body snatchers, visit where they plied their grisly trade, learn why a vicar pulled down his own church!

Our tour will end with a visit to Ewell’s historic jail and a chance to find out first-hand what an 18th century prison was like be careful not to be left behind!
