ARCHAEOLOGICAL TRAINING
EXCAVATION AT HATCH FURLONG, EWELL, SURREY

A third season of exploratory archaeological evaluation (trial excavation) is being planned on this interesting site, in conjunction with the Epsom and Ewell History and Archaeology Society, the National Trust, the Surrey County Archaeological Unit, and the Museum of London. The training excavation will consist of two consecutive 5-day (Monday-Friday) courses.
These five-day courses provide training in archaeological excavation and recording techniques, and includes elements of initial finds processing and other aspects of archaeological investigation. No experience is necessary, and places on the training excavation are open to beginners as well as those more experienced in archaeology.
