The results of the project have recently been published as a JRA supplement, and should stimulate our thoughts on such subjects as the nature of the population of "Roman" Surrey: how many newcomers and of what kind might we expect to have been living here?

The 2011 conference in the series will take place on 15 October at the Leatherhead Institute. This year's theme is industrial archaeology and is organised by the Surrey Industrial History Group. The keynote speaker is Wayne Cocroft of English Heritage who will talk about  the National Heritage Protection Plan and recent work on industrial archaeology.
