Kingston upon Thames Archaeological Society has been awarded a Heritage Lottery Fund grant to investigate a site on the Hogsmill River during the first week in August. The focus will be on palaeoecology through auguring and testpits, but other information may come to light too, like who grazed their animals in these lush water meadows, and whether there is any sign of the many mills that dotted the Hogsmill from medieval times onwards. | ||
