Andrew Gardner is a Senior  Lecturer in the Archaeology of the Roman Empire at the UCL Institute of Archaeology.  He has recently been much involved with excavations at Caerleon legionary fortress.

Andrew is an excellent speaker and we are  promised a stimulating evening.

Our first visit of the year is to  Britain’s oldest town – Colchester. The day will start at 11.00am with a visit to the Castle Museum which will include a guided tour taking in areas not freely accessible. An entry fee is payable and there is a charge for the tour.
