This site on the southern edge of Roman Southwark was dug in advance of redevelopment by PCA. It proved to contain important evidence for a religious complex with probably two Romano-Celtic temples and an associated building. There were many associated finds including the now famous Mars Camulos inscription and the sealed canister that proved to contain expensive ointment.
