Her talk will comprise a survey of current thinking on the nature of the cuisine of Roman Italy and its potential spread in Europe.and she will look at the ingredients and the potential recipes, the cooking techniques and consider issues of status and availability.

Following last year’s very successful meeting on Surrey’s Medieval Towns, the next meeting of the Forum will focus again on the factors that influenced the development of medieval towns in the County featuring Croydon, Kingston, Lingfield and Haslemere.
The Society's Annual General Meeting will be held at Farnham Castle on Sunday 22nd November 2009.
If weather permits David Graham will lead a tour of the interior and exterior of the castle prior to the proceedings, starting at 1:30pm.
Tea will be served and the meeting should finish by 4pm.
All members of the Society are welcome; if you are planning to attend please inform Sue Janaway at Castle Arch so we have some idea of numbers expected.
