An historic landscape survey is currently being undertaken (March 2008) around the gunpowder mills at Chilworth. This is part of the Areas of Special Historic Landscape project jointly funded by Surrey Archaeological Society and Surrey County Council. A team of volunteers will be led by Philip Masters, a professional landscape archaeologist and will look at the water management systems associated with the gunpowder mills as well as at other historic features in the vicinity.

A meeting of the Medieval Forum to be held at Bagshot jointly with the Village Studies Group. The day will include a presentation on the development of the village with a guided walk to view older buildings including a visit to the important medieval wall painting at 44 High Street | ||
