An afternoon Workshop on '1664 Hearth Tax for Surrey' -

On behalf of the Villages Study Group the Local History Committee has arranged a half day workshop on Hearth Tax records for Saturday 30^th January 2010. Catherine Ferguson, General Editor of the British Record Society hearth tax series has kindly agreed to act as tutor for this practical workshop, which follows on from the VSG lecture in 2009 on these records. The workshop will take place at the Surrey History Centre in Woking between 2pm and 4.30pm. The cost is £5 which includes tea/coffee during the workshop. Those wishing to attend should contact Janet Balchin to be added to the list of attendees (see attached notice and application form). No tickets will be issued and the fee will be payable on the door.
