Sayers Croft Summer Archaeology Training

The Surrey County Archaeological Unit recently helped run a community excavation at Sayers Croft, in Ewhurst.  We uncovered the remains of two air-raid shelters.  Here is the link to the BBC coverage of the site:

We will be continuing work there in the summer, and are offering the opportunity for local participants to join in, and gain some basic archaeological training in the process.  Please see the attached flyer for further information.

We are looking to book 8-10 people per 2-day training course, and then for the Taster day, each 2 hour session can cater for up to 15 people.

To book a place please contact Laura Joyner on 01483 518737 or on education.scau@surreycc.gov.uk.
