ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM
Saturday 9th February 2013
Peace Memorial Hall, Ashtead
The Research Committee’s Annual Symposium will, as usual, report on recent work in the county.
Late Upper Palaeolithic flints from Brockhill will be reported upon by William Mills from Oxford University, and the test pitting programme in Chobham will be jointly discussed by Paul Bowen and Abby Guinness. A report on the Ewell excavations will be made by Nikki Cowlard and a presentation about the WW1 prisoner of war camp at Felday will be given by Jen Newell. There will also be a talk by Anne Lea on the Boatbuilder of Royal Earlswood. Judie English will discuss the hillforts of the Western Weald and David Bird will report upon the work of the Roman Studies Group. There will also be talks on recent work by SCAU and recent finds in Surrey. A pdf of the programme is attached.

Exhibitions for the Margary Award are welcome and will be on display.
